MISSION OBJECTIVES
The Construction Monitor
New construction is a logistical beast. As an API 1169 Inspector, you are the client's eyes and ears on the spread. You navigate the complex intersection of welding codes, safety regulations, and environmental mandates. From the first cut of the clearing crew to the lowering-in, you ensure that every foot of pipe meets the rigorous standards of PHMSA and FERC.
- Monitor all phases of construction including stringing, bending, welding, coating, and lowering-in
- Enforce strict compliance with API 1104 ASME B31.4 / B31.8, and project specifications.
- Oversee critical activities like HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) and road bores to prevent failure.
- Generate detailed daily reports to validate progress, safety, and quality for the asset owner.
